Let’s Do This partners with Run 4 Wales

Rob Fearn
Partner Engagement Lead

We're delighted to announce a new five year partnership with Run 4 Wales (R4W), the not-for-profit social enterprise and charitable trust behind some of Wales’ best loved mass participation events.

The new partnership will see us provide registration technology for the entire portfolio of R4W events, including the Principality Cardiff Half Marathon, CDF 10K,  ABP Newport Wales Marathon, Dell Technologies Management Challenge and more.

LDT and R4W share a common goal of inspiring more people to get active, and this new partnership will allow even more people to discover and enjoy R4W’s series of world class mass participation events.

The 2024 Principality Cardiff Half Marathon which takes place on Sunday 6 October is the first R4W event to launch on LDT, with entries now open! The first day of sales saw record numbers of runners secure their entry to the race, with early bird entries selling out within 3 hours. This popular race always sells out, and is expected to fill earlier than ever in 2024, so those keen to take part are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at R4W, said:
“At Run 4 Wales we use our world-class mass participation events as a vehicle to drive our positive social agenda, through the many benefits of physical activity. Having reliable technology underpinning this is essential, so we are thrilled to be working with Let’s Do This.

"We’re looking forward to working with the team at LDT and our friends at London Marathon Events to continue to expand our portfolio and therefore the social impact it can deliver. As a proudly Welsh organisation, we’re also delighted to be working with LDT to introduce a Welsh language option to their platform, which will be coming in the future”.

Let’s Do This CEO, Sam Browne said:
“Since first meeting Matt and the Run 4 Wales team, it was obvious that this would be a dream partnership for us, and huge kudos must go to all of those in both organisations who have been working hard together to make it a reality.

Becoming the technology partner not only to an amazing event portfolio, but to one of the world’s best half marathons in the Principality Cardiff Half Marathon is a source of immense pride for us. We couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with R4W over the coming years to grow participation to new heights in Wales and beyond.”
